ATTENTION SPECKLED TROUT ANGLERS

We’ve had several questions regarding the Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot. Hopefully, the following list will help clarify a few things:

1. Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot participants DO NOT have to attend the captain’s meeting.

2. The price for the Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot is $25.00 PER ANGLER.

3. Regardless of which ticket you purchase, motorized or non-motorized, you’re competing for the 1st – 5th place cash prizes. Regardless of which ticket you purchase, you’ll be entered into the Carolina Skiff drawing (upon entering a legal Speckled Trout). In addition to the cash and Carolina Skiff drawing, the non-motorized anglers are also eligible to win 1 of 3 kayaks courtesy of Fairhope Boat Co. Winners will be determined by largest fish (see rules for details).

4. There is an OPTIONAL cash prize division available. This is a "TWT" or "Tournament within a tournament". This is separate from the Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot and requires an additional entry fee of $25 PER BOAT. Anglers fishing on the same vessel are allowed to participate in the cash prize division as team. There are 3 different entry levels, $100, $250, $500. Payout is 90%.

Example: If there are 50 entrants at the $100 level, the purse is $4500 (50 entrants x $100 = $5000 paid out at 90%). If there are 30 entrants at the $500 level, the purse is $13,500 (30 entrants x $500 = $15,000 paid out at 90%). You must attend the Captain’s Meeting in order to register for the optional cash prize division. Please bring your ADSFR ticket and your Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot ticket to the meeting.

We appreciate the enthusiasm and we welcome any feedback you may have. Participation in the Carolina Skiff / Boat Mart Speckled Trout jackpot is expected to be at an all-time high. If you have any additional questions, please contact Todd Bishop at 209-2295. Good luck and we’ll see you at the all new Dr. Bob Shipp Weigh Station…or the Captain’s Meeting!
