Mobile Jaycees to host 52^nd Annual Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament

Ages 15 and under invited to participate in family fun event

The 52nd Annual Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament, sponsored by Exxon-Mobil, will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo site at the foot of the Dauphin Island Bridge. This event is open to all anglers age 15 or younger.

Prizes include Shakespeare rod & reel combos and Plano tackle boxes. Every angler who weighs in a fish will receive a pair of tickets to a Mobile BayBears game, a Zeigler hot dog, a bag of Golden Flake potato chips, an ice cold Coca-Cola and a Blue Bell ice cream sandwich.

The weigh station will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The awards ceremony will be held immediately following the tournament at the ADSFR site.

The Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament promotes family values, good sportsmanship and healthy competition among the youth of our community. All of the proceeds from the Roy Martin Young Angler’s Tournament will go toward the annual Children’s Christmas Shopping Tour sponsored by the Mobile Jaycees.
